Eyelid Surgery

Eyelid surgery, also known as blepharoplasty, removes excess, sagging skin and possibly fat that is responsible for a sad or tired appearance. After this procedure, you will appear more rested, refreshed, and alert.

When to Consider Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty):

If there is a lot of redundant skin in the eyelids and it is hard to see the upper eyelid itself, a blepharoplasty is likely a great procedure. Women often complain of having to hold their eye open just to apply their eye shadow. Sculpting the excess skin out allows the eye to “pop” and gives a more youthful appearance. It is also one of the most commonly performed surgeries on men.

Facelift

A facelift is the most comprehensive approach to treating facial wrinkles and sagging caused by aging. The surgery varies in range from minimally invasive ‘lunchtime lifts’ to more extensive, sophisticated surgery. A facelift removes excess skin, tightens underlying tissues and muscle and redrapes skin on the face and neck. It can correct midface sagging, marionette lines, jowls and a double chin, maintaining its reputation as the ‘gold standard’ for facial rejuvenation. Every year, thousands of people undergo successful facelift surgery and are pleased with the results. (American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery)

When to Consider a Facelift:

Many women tell me that they looked in the mirror and felt like they looked like their mother. Facial rejuvenation is an excellent procedure to help reposition the facial structures to give a more youthful look. The facelift is done in conjunction with fat grafting to combine lateral lifting with central volume.

Neck Lift or Mini Facelift

The neck is one of the first places where we show our age. Fatty jowls, a “turkey wattle,” vertical banding and horizontal creases all work together to make us look older than we feel. A neck lift enhances the appearance of the neck by tightening the skin and underlying muscles and improving the contour of the jawline. This procedure is often performed in conjunction with liposuction, a facelift, or a cheek lift but may also be done as a stand-alone procedure.

When to Consider a Neck Lift:

Redefining the neck and jawline contour is a powerful improvement for a lot of people. Central skin laxity and bands from the underlying muscle, often lead to loss of the crisp neck line that we associate with a more youthful look.  Tightening this area makes taking profile pictures possible again!

Nose Surgery (Rhinoplasty)

Cosmetic surgery of the nose, or rhinoplasty, is a procedure to improve the appearance of the nose. Specific features addressed in a rhinoplasty for cosmetic purposes included

  • Nose size, in relation to facial balance.

  • Nose width, at the bridge or in the size and position of the nostrils.

  • Nose profile, with visible humps or depressions in the bridge.

  • Nasal tip, that is enlarged or bulbous, drooping, upturned or hooked.

  • Nostrils that are large, wide or upturned.

  • Nasal asymmetry.

When to Consider Nose Surgery (Rhinoplasty):

For a lot of people, they simply hate one thing about their nose. Rhinoplasty is a great procedure to provide balance and proportion with the rest of the face. Most commonly it can correct a hump on the nose or refine the tip to make it more defined. For those who have had past trauma, it might be able to straighten the nose as well.

Lip Enhancement

Having full, plump lips is often considered a sign of good health, beauty and youth. Whether you were born with thin lips or your lips are thinning due to the natural aging process, there are many ways to enhance them. Lip injections using natural or synthetic fillers can keep your lips plump for months at a time. Lip implants and other surgical procedures can also be performed for a more permanent solution. Other options include lip lifts, vermillion (lip) advancement and permanent makeup. Every year, thousands of people undergo successful lip enhancement and are pleased with the results.

When to Consider Lip Enhancement:

As patients age, they will not only lose volume in their lips, but they will also experience lengthening of their upper lip. Fat grafting and a lip lift can make a dramatic difference, without looking “fake”. In younger patients filler as well as fat can add volume to augment the current shape and volume.

Brow Lift

A brow lift or forehead lift reverses the effects of gravity and tightens the soft tissues of the forehead to restore a more youthful contour to your forehead skin, upper eyelids and eyebrows. There are various brow-lift methods, which involve different length incisions in different locations and, sometimes, an endoscope. A youthful brow at rest is positioned above the orbital rim, with a gradual arch laterally, and the lateral end or ‘tail’ of the brow located higher than the medial end. As one ages, it is common for the brow to assume a flat or horizontal position. If a sagging brow inhibits your facial expression, a brow lift is a time-tested method for rejuvenating the upper third of your face. Every year, thousands of people undergo successful brow-lift surgery and are pleased with the results. (American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery)

When to Consider a Brow Lift:

Brow lifts are done in patients who have a lot of lateral fullness and “hooding” over the lateral eyelid. It can provide a nice peaked shape to the brow without looking too “done”.
