Types of Breast Augmentation

While some plastic surgeons still use saline breast implants, Dr. Haydon recognizes the disadvantages of that style of implant – rippling, a less natural look and feel, deflation, higher contracture rates – and only offers options that are long-lasting and have a low revision rate. Fat transfer breast augmentation: is the practice of removing fatty tissue from one part of your body and injecting it into your breasts. This type of procedure offers a natural enlargement of the breast and is typically best for those who seek a relatively small increase. Breast enhancement with silicone gel implants: is the most popular type of surgery performed. In the unlikely event that the implant was to leak, the gel would stay within the implant shell and would not collapse. While there is little difference in each profile placement, the ultra high placement may thin tissue over time.
