Lower body lift surgery

A lower body lift with Dr. Scott Haydon and the skilled team at Austin Plastic Surgery Institute & Skin Care Clinic can dramatically tighten loose skin and create a trim, contoured body. Lower body lift surgery tightens and sculpts the buttocks, back of the thighs, outer thighs, inner thighs, hips, and abdomen. Dr. Haydon skillfully removes excess skin that may be causing mobility restrictions or is aesthetically displeasing.

Is lower body lift surgery right for me?

Once you’ve reached a stable weight with a BMI near 30, a lower body lift procedure may be an option. The surgery is also something to consider if you’ve recently had an upper body lift procedure performed. The results of the procedure will leave you with thighs, buttocks, abdomen, and back that reveal the youthfulness you desire. The procedure is typically done during a circumferential abdominoplasty or extended tummy tuck.

A lower body lift procedure is a major surgery. During your initial consultation with Dr. Haydon, he’ll explain where the incisions will be placed, how the skin with be removed or tightened, and the results you can expect. It’s common to experience pain in your thighs or buttocks for the first few days following surgery. Compressive wraps are placed on your legs, and you’re typically able to move up and around within a week. Physical activity is put on hold for about a month following the procedure. While the surgery will leave a scar, Dr. Haydon takes every precaution to make incisions in natural folds of the body and in areas that can be concealed with undergarments. The scar will fade until it’s barely visible, reaching complete healing around 12 to 18 months.
